The emergency shut-off valve, also known as the underwater valve, is installed at the bottom of tank cars. Designed for maximum safety, this valve seals inside the tank with no cut-off groove on the valve body. In case of strong collision, the valve body breaks at the flange, separating the tank body from the bottom pipeline to create an independent sealed unit that prevents liquid leakage.
